    Research regarding early learning?

    I'm looking for research or articles supporting a slightly more structured approach to early learning. (I'm not talking drill and kill or flashcards). I'm looking for something I can reread when I'm feeling guilty for providing more structure and routines. (Even though my children like it!) Bonus points given for something I can give to others if they question me. smile

    I asked a similar sort of question last year when I was struggling without preschool situation. I don't think anything useful came up then. So I will be watching with interest.

    Well, this may not be exactly what you're looking for, but there is some good evidence that structured preschool programs with explicit learning components can really help underprivileged kids. Look up Perry Preschool and the Abcedarian Project if you're curious.
