Thanks everyone for your responses. DD got a 141 on the SB-5, so I'm not really sure where she falls. She is definitely one to "let it slide" for the sake of social situations though so I'm afraid she'll be an unnoticed gifted girl and notbe unhappy about it.

We shall visit the schools to see if they're a good fit. Both options are half-day every day so I'm happy with either one for kindergarten.

141 is unusually gifted, close enough to DYS-level profoundly gifted that it is worth investigating further to see if your kiddo would qualify. Do you have index scores for the SB-V, or just the full-scale score?

I don't think she scored high enough for DYS - plus she's still just 4.

Her VIQ misses the DYS cutoff by one point. It is probably worth retesting her when she is a bit older (but not too much older) on IQ or achievement or both, and making and saving videos of her talking about her favorite topics, and saving samples of things that she's done on her own that seem more advanced than what other children her age are doing, so you have material for a portfolio.

Thanks for the feedback! I will do the things you suggest. It never hurts to have that extra support and I'm sure DYS is just that.
