DD is seriously interested in quantum physics now after watching a Nova on the subject. She was explaining spooky particles to DH and I the other day and how they communicate with each other even though they are so far apart and how einstein (I believe she said) thought that they could not occur but was proven wrong or something like that LOL. Anyway, any recommended resources for her that aren't dry and that maybe I could understand. I just picked up George's Cosmic Treasure Hunt by Stephen and Lucy Hawkings and she is loving it. But I would love some additional resources. Thanks!

I bought some books after seeing them mentioned here. Alice's Adventures in Quantumland. Scrooges Cryptic Carol. Once Upon A Universe. The Wizard of Quarks.

They may be for later. They're for my kids for later, but they're for me for now. I read the wizard of quarks so far and half of once upon a universe. They are nice to read. I randomly remember stuff I read from them, so , that's cool. They're quite worth the valuable bookshelf space. So is The Disappearing Spoon, which is a trivia book about the periodic table of elements and transmutation. It's another well written book that's enjoyable and you walk away feeling like you learned something and enjoyed reading it so much you look forward to reading it again in a couple of years and learning something else. That's my criteria for staying in my bookshelf.

She might like the Uncle Albert series as well. DD loved the George books and this series too.

Yes, those Gilmore books (Alice in Quantumland...) are amazing and give a very comprehensive overview of the subject while also telling a familiar story.

This guy has some big bang comic books for sale. I guess to get the word out he's passing out free digital copies if you e-mail him. I'm looking at one right now and I want to say it's the cutie-patootiest little Quantum Physics book. Don't know if I'm going to order the hard copies, but I'm tempted. The artwork is just stunningly shiny in only black and white.
