WHEW! so that was a LOOOOONG and POSITIVE appointment! FINALLY I feel like someone(s) is listening!

We actually got TWO doctors, one took Aurora for some evaluation and she mentioned a test, but I don't remember which she said...not an IQ or anything...the other doctor took IN DEPTH history from me.

I had decided to go ahead and mention the testing and they were VERY happy to see it, looked at the numbers, but quickly turned to a couple of sections in the narrative. Then the dr talking to me brought it up near the end of our appt, the, ummmm, the gaps, there is a name for them I can't remember...anyway the differences in numbers on certain subtests of the WISC 4...

They "got it" right away, so I FINALLY feel like we are going somewhere! Hallelujah! I gave details about all the school stuff and we had the chance to update and talk about everything that happened since then...poor doctor's hand is probably so tired! lol!

The two doctors will go over the narrative and they can call the private psycholgist that did the evaluation and testing...we will have another appointment as soon as I can get it...and that's about all I have right now, but I feel SO MUCH BETTER!!! They do also handle neuropsychology there and CAPD assesments...FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!!!!

I get excited when the library lets me know my books are ready for pickup...
