My brain is still groggy from jet-lag, but has he tried a non-stimulant ADHD med? I could be mis-remembering, but I think all the ones you listed are stimulants.

Omega-3 supplements are supposed to be very helpful... for everyone, but specifically ADHD.

Yes, he was on 2 non-stimulants first. We are on Omega-3's. I'm happy to report that I think we have FINALLY reached a happy spot with his medication. He actually needed a lower dose of the long-acting than would have been predicted by the effective dose of short acting ritalin. He is on 1/4th of a 20mg Daytrana patch with no side effects and excellent results in helping him focus at school. This is only day 3, so cross your fingers that we have found the solution!!!

Good luck. I hope that things continue to work well for him!

I'm going to start dd on Vemma Next, which is some sort of vitamin supplement in a liquid format that you mix with juice or other beverages. It has a reasonable amount of plant based DHA (not as much as the supplements she was taking), so I'm hoping it will start to get some of those o-3s into dd's system again. Now my question is whether I mention it to her or just try to slip it into her drinks... hmmm...

Glad to hear you've found something that appears to be working. We are on med #3 and nothing's helped DS's outbursts yet. (The psychiatrist prescribed an anti-psychotic last time along with the Adderall, but I refused to give that to him, seeing as how he's not the least bit psychotic!)
