My third grade son is qualified to take a CogAT test in February 2012. We are living in Schaumburg, Illinois. Please advice me so i can prepare my son for the test. i will appreciate if anyone can provide me detail information or any good test prep book.

Our school district provided us with the standard prep from the company. It's just a few pages that shows the types of questions and how to fill in the bubbles. I don't think that it is the type of test that you can do formal test prep.

No need to prep for this test. Just make sure your child is well rested, well fed, and has good feelings about taking the test. smile

well you can prepare yourself by reading up on it...sometimes school districts use this test in ways it is not really designed to be used.
and remember to always take any test results with a grain of salt; it's all just one day, a few hours that could go well or not so well for a lot of reasons.
