Gifted Issues Discussion homepage Forums Identification, Testing & Assessment NNAT2 Results - Where can I find more information?

I am looking for a better explanation of the NNAT2 and its results other than what they provide. My five year old recently took the test and scored a 153. I think this is pretty high, but don't know enough about the assessment to really interpret it. Does anyone know of any resources?

I think again it's a mainly nonverbal IQ test, like the Ravens test. It correlates with IQ tests like the WISC etc. but there isn't a verbal part to it. Many school districts that have lots of English-learner kids (like Los Angeles) use it for gifted identification.

Mean of 100, standard deviation of 16, range 40-160. 53/16 = 3.3125 standard deviations out, so 99.95th percentile.
