Anyone in the St. Louis area? I could really use names for a good doctor for a neurological assessment for my son.

Hi Camille, I'm from St. Louis. You're not looking for an IQ test from a psychologist, but an actual neuro exam, right? I have good recommendations for Dr. John Mantovani at St. Johns and we saw Dr. Neil and Dr. Yamada at Children's after my daughter's brain injury - both were excellent physicians, but I would say Neil was my 'bedside manner' preference. What kind of symptoms is your son experiencing?

Thank you! So nice to see someone else in the St. Louis area! As for symptoms, my son sometimes has very severe tantrums. One example, he wanted to play a video game before school, and when I said no, he refused to go to school, I was carrying him to try to get him on the bus, I finally had to give up and drive him to school. He is 6 1/2 and still needs to wear a pull up at night. He also has trouble following directions and listening at school. He also has some words that he pronounces in a unique way. He will say "ana" in place of the word "other" I'm also concerned about the way he reads. He seems to recognize whole words but struggles with sounding out words. BTW he scored very high on PRI in the 99th percentile but only high average on other subtests. Scatter was 23 points between VCI and PRI and 27 points between PRI and WMI.
