Is it just me or does the huge gap between VCI and... pretty much everything else make the computation of either FSIQ or GAI impossible? Those numbers shouldn't even have been computed, right?
I think that for consideration for access to gifted programs the WMI and PSI would be thrown out, and only the VCI taken into account.
That said, that huge gap is also a big fat red flag for LDs. Further testing might be helpful, ideally by somebody who gets 2E kids.
I think that's correct - both that the FSIQ shouldn't have been calculated, and that LDs need to be looked into.
It's true that anxiety can depress IQ scores, but if the coping mechanisms were good enough to exit him from therapy, then why couldn't they be used enough to get an accurate IQ score? OTOH, LD's untreated can cause a daily frustration that gives rise to anxiety, yes?
Welcome to the forum - the Verbal score is not borderline gifted - but will into the 'unusally gifted' zone.
