    Madoosa, what is your website?

I work from home...I have a website selling fabric, patterns and some Melissa and Doug products. Hopefully when the economy picks up again, I can expand that part of the site again. I think kids need LOTS of arts and crafts goodies wink Can I share that?

I also sew all kinds of stuff, mostly girls clothes and women's skirts and accessories and sell those on etsy

I get excited when the library lets me know my books are ready for pickup...

my site is currently undergoing some changes to the home page to accommodate new product lines etc, but here is the link for now. The new bits should all be up by Wednesday the latest. Edukits.co.za

I'm so incredibly jealous of those of you who have an artistic streak - I was born without one frown I'm pretty boring - my work is daycare - which until recently has been fulfilling, but these days I'm looking for something new. Not quite sure what - I really want to keep working for myself, but can't figure out what, yet. On the side, I spend alot of time trying to advocate for special needs orphans in Eastern Europe - but I'm not the best blogger, so usually end up donating my own money smile Anyhow - my website is www.LittleHouseChildcare.com and my most recent blog (very new and sparse) is www.zerothezeros.blogspot.com

Madoosa, I LOVE it!!!! Do you ship to the US? I ship internationally...

www.fabrichound.cgm for fabric, patterns, crafty tools, etc

http://www.etsy.com/shop/sweetgirlboutique?ref=si_shop for ready made clothes, purses and reusable sandwich bags

Do you make the craft kits yourself? Do you sell them on any other sites? I really like them a lot!

All the kits that have the home made look about them I do myself - science, arts, crafts, life skills, sensory, etc I do myself yes. Then there is a bunch that I buy and resell - anything that is fun and educational I stock smile

I have never been asked to ship overseas - I know that I am not allowed to ship anything with seeds/food in it, so that means my Eco kits are a no-go, as is my edible finger paint and play doh kits. (and those are the most popular). I am sure that I can ship the other goods over though laugh I use an international courier so I can't see it being an issue kwim?

I LOVE your stuff. Just one complaint. YOU NEED MORE BOY STUFFS!!!!! lol

ugh! I KNOWWWWW! Boys are so much harder to sew for! I take custom orders when my schedule allows...but even with DD8 liking black, spiders, etc so much, I'm often worried my boy stuff will come out too girly, lol!!!!

What kind of boy stuffs? Clothes? or accessories, like DS or book bags? I know lots of young boys who like to carry Lego guys or whatever around, but I'm not sure how to market something like that and not have people think it's a purse, lol!

well yeah clothes - with loads of pockets for the things they collect on walks, sun hats, book bags would be awesome!! What about dress up type outfits? Army, Fireman, Chef, Wizard etc (the girls would go for the dress up things too... it's a big deal with the 3 - 9 age groups)

More for boys that would be a hit:
dungarees, t-shirts (like the layered look, where it looks like one shirt under the other, and plain shirts too), long shorts in denim, corduroy, cotton - all darker colours, maybe you can find a stain resistant fabric for some of the pants.
Accessories: sun hats, book bags, swag bag/treasure bag for carrying around their odds and ends...

My latest is finally getting around to publishing an e-book for gifted middle and high schoolers about study skills . I tried the route of submitting it to print publishers but was told to write it for a more broad market (i.e. - not gear it solely toward gifted kids in the top few percentiles so it would have a larger audience). It wasn't really where I wanted to go with it b/c that wasn't who I felt needed what I wanted to write so I sat on it for a while and then finally just decided to publish it as an e-book.

My older daughter was feeling camera shy but my youngest agreed to be my cover model if I helped her straighten her hair for the picture smile . I will eventually convince the kiddo that having curly hair like mom is not a bad thing!

I'll go check out your book.

How was your experience with Smashwords? I've encouraged my daughter to publish her book there (it was an ABC book she did for a project in school but it whimsical, funny, educational and has great images she created for it).

Would love to know any advice you have about using their site before I walk her through it.

I'm going to make the book into an iPhone/iPad app as well when I get the time, but for now Smashwords looked like the best option.

Looking forward to reading it! BTW, you do know that you can do Print-on-Demand through Lightning Source and Ingram and get a print edition and Kindle book out on Amazon, right?
