At your dd's age the verbal is composed by 3 subtests and the performance another 3. The core sub tests for verbal are information (which is optional in the WISC), vocabulary, and word reasoning. For perceptual/performance, those are block design, matrix reasoning, and picture concepts. I am going from memory here and do not have my dds' reports to verify this right now.
In Morgan's case, for some reason the tester substituted picture completion for block design, do you have any idea why?
Coding is the 7th score used to calculate the FSIQ.
Morgan was given a full test, just with that substitution which is unusual, at least without an explanation. The question is whether the tester started it or not, when did s/he decide to use picture completion instead.
Tester could also calculate the "prorrated IQ" which removes the processing from the IQ, equivalent to what the GAI is in the WISC, but not as common. Gifted schools in our area seem to want to look at both the FS and the one not including processing speed. In Morgan's case, it would give a slightly higher IQ, probably not by much because her processing speed is not that much lower than her PIQ.
Did you get grade level equivalents for her achievement scores? Did you get a full report already or just the numbers?
