I was looking through the Quest Palatine) Academy's website. This may be affordable. Has anyone gone this route? Do they give a detailed assessment?

Quest Academy offers testing services to families seeking to better understand the educational needs of their child, whether or not they are pursuing admission to the school.
Quest's evaluators have years of experience testing children with diverse learning needs. A variety of assessment measures are available, beginning with IQ and achievement testing to evaluate the learning styles and needs of your child. Parents will receive valuable educational recommendations from the evaluator and gain insights that will help you better advocate for your child in his or her current school.


Administration of the age appropriate Weschler Intelligence Scales for Children (WPPSI-3 or WISC-IV) is required as part of our application process for students applying to Kindergarten through 8th grade. The fee for testing is $450.

HI I looked the school last year however did not followup on it due to multiple factors mainly commute, cost

We did switch him into a public school that did meet his ablities

I cant afford the school... but the testing is definately reasonable. I haven't found anything for less.

We tested with Elizabeth Mika. She is GREAT! My four year old felt so at ease and she was very helpful in her recommendations and discussions with us about his results. She only charged a total of $500 for BOTH the WPPSI and WIAT. She also only does Gifted so very familiar with how to properly test them. She's in Gurnee which was a drive for us but well worth it. Most other Psychologists I consulted charged $500 for just the WPPSI.
