Does anyone have experience with partial homeschooling? I'm considering asking the school if they would allow this for our DS6, and wanted to hear of others' experiences. I was thinking of hiring a private tutor for 1.5 to 2 hours in the morning who would instruct my son at school, OR keep him home with me for instruction until lunch time when he would rejoin his class. I'm doing research right now on the district's policy on homeschooling and I'm not finding anything that would automatically preclude us from doing it.
I would love to hear if other families have set up some kind of partial homeschool arrangement and how it worked.
