Math talent tends to go along with fluid reasoning, which is one of the five factors on the SB-5 and the K-ABC-II, and corresponds to Perceptual Reasoning on the WISC-IV (as well as anything on the WISC corresponds to anything in current research) and Nonverbal Reasoning on the DAS-2.

But Dottie is right -- academic achievement is tested on tests of academic achievement, which is why we generally recommend both cognitive and academic tests.
