DS7 has a real talent for math. In first grade, he is doing stuff that I didn't learn until fourth. However, he is used to things coming easy for him - so he's having a hard time slowing down and doing it correctly. He has the concepts down, but he may count incorrectly and his answer may be off by one or two. This is not a big deal, and I tell him that. But every time he makes a mistake, he gets so upset over it! I don't know how to get him to understand that everyone makes mistakes, and that's how people learn. Anyone else had this problem?
