This was my son's poem from a while ago for a school assignment. He said being gifted is a bit like magic, not easily understood, weird and far out from normal, but necessary.
S ometimes, people are afraid of people who are Different.
O nly, Different does not always equal evil.
R elying on each other, the Different can accomplish much.
C arrying the weight of the needs of others,
E very day, the Different face many perils.
R escuing those in need sometimes takes those who are Different,
Y et still people fear and despise the Different.
