Thanks for all the input. I agree that with her IQ testing we'd expect less issues. The more I talk with my husband the more he makes me realize that it may not be as bad as I think. If it were, we would expect the school would have stepped in and done something or told us when we asked if she needs held back. Still need to talk with teacher again and do some Acheivement testing.

She does have some vision issues and that contributes to her reading. She "forgets" to wear her glasses most of the time (something we are working on.) We are using the glasses in hopes of avoiding vision therapy. Her eyes have improved along with her reading.

Part of dd'stough transition this year has been learning to do "school." She was never been in school before (went to K for a few weeks last year and we pulled her to homeschool.) We didn't get to much "homeschool" because of some personal family issues so it really was mostly a wasted year. Essentially, she was starting from square one this year.

There are still many pieces that need put into place so that we can get a complete picture for next year. Thanks!
