On another note, my dd can be HIGHLY sensitive. Whether it's world issues or a boy who acts badly in her class, she becomes fixated on the situation. Is this normal?
Hi and welcome!
dd7 is very highly sensitive as well and it's normal for her. I noticed it when she was about a year old. It was so bad I would look at my dh and ask him if there were any mental health issues in his family that I should be aware of. lol
Also I am one of those parents that didn't find out I was identified as gifted as a child (my dh was too) until just recently. I was talking to my mom about my dd's being gifted and just didn't know where it came from then mom says "well why wouldn't she be, you are too" and then I get all the details. It's funny I do remember getting moved to the "smart class" when I was in 1st grade, I just didn't know why. (early 70's they grouped kids like this)
