I live in GA currently. And while the state has funded gifted programs, the state ranks 49th in the nation in education, above South Carolina only. So ANY state is better for education in general than where we are now. My county alone is facing education cuts of over $100k for the 10-11 school year, with our ALP/Target programs being looked at as being cut as well. And the surrounding counties are no better.
So, staying here might not be much better (the unemployment rate is higher in GA than it is in FL, too).
