I am considering having my 14 and 16 year olds apply for DYS. They have had qualifying Explore and ACT scores for years but I never could find anything to put in a portfolio and I couldn't afford private IQ testing. I've finally found someone who can do a test for a reasonable rate. Do you think it's worth doing this so late? The 16 year old had a WPSI done at 4 as part of a study on same age non-genetically related siblings and scored 139 but hit the ceiling on 5 different subtests. I always wondered where she really stood but I couldn't afford testing. Her biological brother was even more precocious than she was so I am especially eager to see where he stands. They both skipped one grade but meeting their needs has been challenging.
