There certainly are noticeable levels within the young scholars program - the Level 4s and 5s. These are the kids that I expect to join SET around age 12. These kids may have an easier time getting some accommodations in regular school because they are easier for school folks to see as 'undeniably in need of something different.' But the accommodations may still not be enough.
I briefly looked at SET. Does this offer something different that DYS in terms of guidance/educational counsel? It looks like there might be some scholarship opportunites that could be wonderful and college reccomendation letters. Do many DYS kids do this? If a student does not qualify for DYS could they qualify for this.
