So I got my copy of Dr. Ruf's book yesterday evening and stayed up to midnight reading.....got halfway through LOL....okaym denial.....pretty much gone. I definitly still have some, but wow. Thank you all for recommending it.
DD is easily a level 3, possibly a 4. I say possibly because at only 2.5 a lot of the level 3 and 4 are similar....I was reading thisngs to dh and we both feel like what she does in the next year or two will shine further light on that. I can see her in many examples of the kids at both levels.
I knew DD was ahead.... but since she is our only it was hard to see just how far although other people told us like her ped and our children's librarian, it didn't really hit home until reading. And the part about that level 3's if left to progress at there on pace could complete all of elementery school work in 2 years just blew me away. I know DD has already mastered half of the end of year skills expected for my mom's schools K but wow.
Anyway. Thank you all for recommending this book, this definitly took me out of denial some, ut now I am ust a little freaked LOL.
