I liked this article very much - thanks for posting it. Life is so dazzling, complex and full of possibilities, but sometimes it seems so hard to get out of our cubicles and do it justice.
The reference to Malcolm Gladwell wasn't too far behind my stirrings of dark thoughts about his rather soulless book. Life should be a feast more than a competition. In our part of the world, government has recently introduced specialist high school "academies" for high performing students. Although only in their teens, they'll be sorted according to discipline. Death to the Renaissance man apparently.
