My DS9 is currently on his 3rd version of a game he invented called Draw wars. He draws all this weapons and charaters that have points and then they battle. The battle is done by taking turns drawing the objects and then some body loses. Well, I think this is cool in a way. It's a little hard for me to understand but I go along with his game. He doesn't seem to do well with explaining existing board games to others. I told him I'm not sure if he could sit down with another kid and do this.I always want to promote creative thinking. I feel a little like when I play I'm just going thru the motions and he tell me what to do. I do try to draw creative stuff.
Any thoughts on encouraging him to do something creative yet not so outthere that no one can do it with him. Maybe I'm overthinking this.
