I would instead look at their GT program. What do they have and how do they select kids? In our SD, kids can get nominated by the teachers or the parents. They start with achievement, and if kids score at a certain level, they take CogAT, and then they have some extra hoops. In some SD, after CogAT or similar test, they go for individual IQ testing. If you can't find info. online I would call the district and ask to talk to the GT coordinator. That person might give you some useful information (or not, our SD is known for not, but they do have everything VERY clearly spelled out in their website).
