Hi again.
So we just came home from the optometrist who informed us that DS7 has pretty evident astigmatism in both eyes. He says that with correction all the little things that we have noticed (consistently reversing certain letters, pushing away school books, fatiguing with writing, writing certain letters and numbers backwards even though he can describe correctly which direction they face, etc) should all go away really quickly. Of course this all presented as ADHD-type symptoms: restlessness, fidgety, balking at doing school work even though motivated to learn, etc. This doctor was so awesome he showed us all the pictures of DS7 eyes and showed us what diseased eyes would look like. He went over everything taking time to explain things thoroughly to my son and me. He explained exactly what impact the astigmatism was having on a 7 year old. It was awesome to meet a professional who knew what a "little" glitch like this would mean to a kid like DS7. Anyways long story short here, has anyone encountered this and did you really notice these big differences he is telling us we will see?
