Most of you know that my DS6 was radically accelerated this year. The school did assessments the first two days of school and have informed me that they have may have made an error. DS6 apparently aced the 4th grade assessments and now the school is thinking that maybe? they should have put him in 5th.
When I read about other parents struggles on here, I have wished that all of you could have a school as flexible as mine. But now, I think they've just lost their minds! The GT coordinator actually told me that the personnel has an expectation that my DS will complete elementary school this year. Has anyone ever dealt with over acceleration?
I'm back to looking at homeschooling sooner rather than later. Somehow I just think DS is going to be missing "Big" pieces and parts moving this fast. I know Dr Ruf says that L5 kids can complete elementary in one year, but I don't!
