Instead of taking the bait, Grammy said in a stern voice "Don't you DARE pick that up!" So DD5 immediately picked it up knowing she was playing a game with Grammy. We've had numerous requests for the "Don't you DARE" game ever since and it's helped us get her to cooperate by being "uncooperative." grin

I have to laugh b/c we have been going through this exact thing with DD since before she turned 2. She instantly would change her tune when we dare her not to do something. She knew we turned it into a game and every time she is willing to do it. Something about this method gets smiles and giggles and the mood changes. So I second your comment ... it really does work.
