Sounds like it's working out as best as it can, especially if you can move closer to the private school in a year.

I remember a thread about multi-year skips a little while back. One or more people reported that they go better in single-year chunks. I'm inclined to agree --- my DS will be pretty much doing a second single-year skip at a new school next year. Looking back on it, the school he'll be attending was offering him a de facto double skip last year, but we opted for a single year skip with extra acceleration in math at a different school instead. I hope it works out. He'll be closer to the ages of the kids at the new school this coming year.

Is it me, or are people reporting more success stories regarding whole-grade and subject acceleration the last few months?
