It seems to me that these kids that require acceleration in math, require radical acceleration! DS6 is doing 3rd and 4th grade math concurrently, plus doing pre algebra with the GT coordinator 2x week. He says that the only new math is the pre algebra, the rest he already knows. Yet when he took the placement test to determine which classes to start in, he test evenly in all subjects. His other subjects are not progressing anywhere near as rapidly.
