I don't know if anyone remembers, but we were debating on whether to have the boys tested for a local GT charter school. We finally decided to do the group test through the school since it was free. The boys tested today and now we wait a month for the results. And of course now that means I'm going to obsess about every little thing until we actually get the numbers (and then I'm going to obsess about those, lol).

The school was really hush-hush about exactly which test it was, but both boys (the testing was by age, so they were separated) said that the puzzle section they had to match a shaded section of a square with a mirror image and it was a fill-in-the-bubble test. Anyone have any guesses on which group test that would be?

DS6 said the test was really easy and he knew how to answer all the questions. I can't decide if that's a good sign or if he went so fast through it that he didn't stop to actually think about the questions.

Also, does grade level have any impact on the group tests? He's homeschooled and working at a 4th+ grade level, but the school said to put him down as 1st grade (they do age grouping with individualized curriculum), would that have made the test seem so easy? He said there wasn't any factual knowledge questions, it was all puzzle type problems. Getting either boy to tell me much about the test was an exercise in futility, lol.

I'm glad we had the test done, it's a relief to know that we'll have answers soon (or at least something resembling answers or answers posing as more questions or...), I just hope the wait doesn't kill me first!
