I was going to start this thread because I thought this is a fun question! (Then I saw this one)
DS8 will be a private eye, he's got a hat he uses for everything from Indiana Jones to Ben Franklin costumes. It's a great felt fedora (I guess that's the style) but it will mold to lots of other shapes and then just pops back to the original shape.
He'll wear a suit so he should look pretty sharp.
DD2.5 was pretty adamant about what she did and did not want; DS has always been that way too. She loves trucks, cars, etc., so she wants to be the guy from the cars movie. I looked at the prices for a pre-made costume and was like, NO WAY ($60!!).
So, yesterday in a scramble to prepare for a birthday/halloween party this afternoon I came home and whipped up what I would say is a pretty crafty car for her to wear. It even looks like the one in the movie and she is totally stoked! She's even being gentle with it so far, which is definitely not her strong suite.
