In my experience, they're soooo worth it! Really! I might go so far as to call them the very best thing I bought last year. Not just limited to educational things either, but I mean the best of ANYTHING that I bought, in any context!
Even better than Legos?
I have waited to get these because they have them at his preschool, and they're about the only thing he likes at his preschool right now.
So, I didn't want to take away the "but they have pattern blocks there" excuse to coax him to go to preschool. (Because now he "hates" preschool -- thanks jk rowling for introducing the word hate to DS. It was really, truly nonexistent in our house until HP. ugh.)
