As always, interesting, aeh! So how is a parent to look at data on the 2-5 version of the test, when the child has been well above 231 for multiple test sessions (and will be for quite a few future sessions)? I wish this data could be easily ignored, but our schools rely heavily upon it for placement.

blackcat, does your school usually use the Survey version? I'd want to see how my child did on the Survey plus Goals before moving to the 6+ version. Yes, though, I'd have similar questions. Our kooky schools would keep on giving him the 2-5 version until 6th grade (3x a year!), no matter what his score on the Survey Plus Goals...
