Hi,
My DS8 was recently tested on the WISC IV. On Block Design he scored a scaled score of 19. However right below his score, it says that he scored 14 timed.
On the last page of the report the psychologist stated that he was typically quick with gestalt reasoning problem solving, but needed slightly more time on the two of the complex designs. As a result, the untimed version was used in calculation of his PRIQ.
I thought block design was always timed and you do not get a credit for completing a puzzle if you are outside that time limit, even if it is correct.
Was the psychologist wrong to use 19 in calculation for his composite and FSIQ scores? Is there such a thing as an untimed BD test and is it possible to hit the ceiling that way? Thank you!
