Hi all,
I just brought DD6 home from the doctor I found at COVD.org.
Some of you may remember I took her to have her eyes checked at the beginning of last school year, because her K teacher wasn't sure she would send her to enrichment.
Several posters suggested I go see a behaviorial optometrist. I didn't, but have observed her over the last 9 months to see if I noticed any issues.
I did finally think she should be checked and made the appointment.
Thanks to all, especially EandCmom!
The first eye doctor was NOT very thorough and it turns out she does need eyeglasses especially for close-up reading. It is a focusing and movement issue which should be corrected with glasses, Yay!
So DD6 is the proud new owner of an adorable pair of tiny pink glasses!
She will go back on another day to make sure there are no visual processing issues.
Second opinions are a good thing, I wish I hadn't waited as long.
