I only have tables from the WISC-IV, but I can "estimate" full scales based on those charts. I think for the WPPSI, the Coding subtest doesn't factor into either VIQ or PIQ, but does in the full scale, which might account for any confusion. Don't quote me on that one though...I'm really not up-to-speed on the WPPSI like I am on the WISC-IV.
Thank you, Dottie. You sure are the expert around. I thought that FSIQ was based only on PIQ and VIQ, shows how little I know.
You are right looking at his report the coding is not part of either VIQ or PIQ. You are also right about coding (once I knew what to google for I found this)
For the computation of a FSIQ, either Coding or Symbol Search may be used.
His coding was only 13 so it would make sense that his FSIQ would be lower than what I would expect based on VIQ and PIQ. His Symbol Search was higher but I am quite sure she would have mentioned it in the report if she had substituted Symbol Search for Coding.
Thanks again. I hated the idea that there was something wrong with the report.
