DD's current school has done some end of year assessments for her this week and we will be meeting the principal and teacher next week to discuss the rest of year. I am glad they moved swiftly and most importantly, I think the report has really opened her teacher's eyes with understanding DD better. On her report card, she even remarked that she is an exceptionally bright child and an excellent student!
Next steps..we met with the gifted/high achieving magnet school principal and she has been accepted in and he looking forward to working with her to make sure she is being challenged in the right areas. No grade skip for now, but it's not off the table yet. I think they want to get her into 1st and see how she does. Thank you all for replying!! Lending support you all of you as well!
