Give your kid water and a snack also.

I did no preparation and as a result had no idea that the test (didn't even know what test it would be) would take hours. I saw my DD flagging towards the end and I cannot help feeling that that bought down her working memory and processing scores and that they would have been higher had I known that the test would more than span her usual lunchtime and given her supplies to tide her over.
