We have used Athena's and been pleased. You don't see the other kids ( only hear their voices) and there is no real pressure to participate in discussion. Athena's is not really targeted at the DYS crowd specifically. My daughter really enjoys her class and I know at least one PG kid who is two years younger than she is takes the same class. As you mentioned, we mostly signed up because of the interactive component. I am thinking about enrolling my PG son (age six) but will likely wait until big sister has moved on (rivalry issues). Consider emailing the headmistress; I've found her very approachable .
