I know this is an old thread, but new viewers may be looking for EPGY grade placement guidance. I recommend asking your SSA to set up a placement test. The test worked really well for my DD whose initial grade placement was far too easy for her. Other options include having your SSA switch your child from reinforcement to gifted curriculum which will move more quickly with less instruction and more difficult exercises.
