I'm new to posting and to this site. My 4th grader's reading and math Stanford Achievement Test scores are 12.2 and post high school (PHS). His Otis Lennon School Ability Test are 140-144. I understand that he is gifted.
Our school seems to give packets of more work for gifted students, and he's not interested in that. He keeps himself busy with reading and drawing in school and is happy.
He's had two outbursts in school. He feels everything so deeply. I think school psyschologist pegged it in that he escalates a situation to justify his strong feelings.
My worry that he's not being challenged appropriately. Any advice? Thank you for your time.
