Actually, this is what my notes look like. Taking notes for me is something like navigating the roads... I don't need to know every landmark and address, I only need signposts at the right locations. Taking a note plants a signpost on that particular neural highway, so I can follow it again later.

The worst notes in history were the ones I took in class at boot camp, where sleep deprivation turned them into toddler's scrawls. That's where I learned that I don't need to review notes for the note-taking process to have been helpful, because reviewing those was never even an option.
