Yeah, see the edit I just made of my prior post before I saw this post of yours. I did occur to me later that your dd12 might be your bio kid.

Perhaps it is easier to see the giftedness in your younger dd b/c she isn't as much like you. I, for instance, totally overlooked dd14 being gifted despite her being HG+ until she was six and falling apart at school. She just looked like me and I wasn't totally in touch with that aspect of myself at that point.
