The tester I mentioned above has done several tests for us and has written comprehensive reports, been willing to talk to the former school, discussed a grade skip with us in depth and has provided lots of educational input and advice. I found her extremely knowledgeable and helpful, without being stuffy or an "expert". My DS tested with her at 5 1/2 and she got that he was a bouncing ball of energy. She allowed him breaks between each subtest, suggested wall push ups and seat presses, and let him do one subtest while wandering around the room. She wrote this all in the report in a way that reminded teachers that he won't sit still and that does NOT indicate ADHD (which was our first concern for testing.)

It took many, many phone calls of local ed.psychs and neuropsych before we found her! Most everyone else wanted $1500 to $3000 for a full work up and lengthy days of testing. We wanted to start small and go from there and it worked well for us.
