There is not strong data supporting using fish oil as a treatment for ADHD. If it makes you feel better, great. As an example, for treating cholesterol issues in adults, you would have to take at least 20 a day, and that would likely ruin your liver. Vitamins and supplements are not regulated by the FDA or the government, so you never really know what is in them. There is likely trace amounts of mercury in fish oil pills (as they are made from anchovies or other fish), so if you ingested 20 of them, you might get a big mercury load.
