lyme is pretty common around here also, but even more common: fifth disease. Not sure the joint pain is common in young kids.

I think the fever would point almost any medical doctor to something medical rather than stress related. but that is just my impression.

(I just took my ds11 in for fatigue, general achiness, etc., to an infectious disease specialist and I think the main thing that kept her from declaring this 'all in his head' was that he had low temps for a while, and was 'freezing' a lot for two to three weeks, and then just took forever to recover. Based on that 1 item she did diagnose him with having had a virus and still being in a recovery stage. )

The lacy rash is nearly useless for purposes of troubleshooting as it only comes after the kid is feeling better, no longer infectious, etc. Just a good identifier after the fact.
I think the red cheeks come and go, though.
