In a College Confidential thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com...ation/40823-sat-gain-7th-11th-grade.html the average score gain from 7th grade to 11th grade on math+verbal was about 400 points, or 100 points a year. Therefore an improvement of 60 points in a year for a student seems quite possible.
