I had my 4 year old daughter tested a few weeks ago for Early Entrance to Kindergarten by Dr. Ruf and she scored exceptionally gifted according to the LOG. I was contacted by Dr. Ruf's office last week to see if we'd be interested in having our daughter also tested on the WPPSI-IV for norming where they would pay us $50 with no guarantee of a score coming back to us.
I agreed to do it since there is a chance we'd get a score (not a report) and my daughter had so much fun on the SB5 that I figured it wouldn't hurt.
I was contacted again today by Dr. Ruf's office and they noticed that we have 2 year old twins. Pearson wants to do some norming on kids as young as 2 and even though the girls weren't previously tested on the SB5 they feel that they can get a good idea of where they are from the Ruf Estimates on talentigniter.com.
That being said, would you do it? I'm concerned about not being in the room with them, I'm concerned because they were 29 week preemies and I'm concerned because really, how well can a 2 year old take that kind of test? I'm also curious though because we feel like at least one of the twins is gifted (at least in language) but I don't know that I'd put stock in a score at this age.
