Oops... I think I wasn't clear, 2giftgirls.

DS8 doesn't have issues with hiding things or bottling up unpleasant feelings. When something bothers him he talks to me about it. It's the other stuff that I have to dig for, or wait till he's not distracted. Like yesterday, "How did the 2nd mid-term go?", answer- "ok". "Was it long?" answer- "I don't know", "How many questions were on it?" ... Turns out there were only 5 questions, and he'd just told me what the first two were about when we saw a guy riding a bike on the side of the road have an accident so we stopped to help. Later, he couldn't remember/ didn't feel like talking about what the other 3 questions were.

I'd always heard how verbal little girls are, and how quick they are to learn to recognize and mimic emotions. I remember waiting what felt like forever for my boys to decide to talk! (Could just be that I was so impatient, too!)
